Loneliness: "Sadness because one has no friends or company, feelings of depression and loneliness." I am reaching out to ladies over 40. Why you ask. Well first because I am a lady over 40 and because I am not the only one that has fallen into the category of feeling lonely on occasion.
Women over 40 have found themselves alone why? There are many reasons. they never married or had kids like myself. Or maybe their husband was able to maintain relationships with his friends through the years by fishing, hunting or golfing because you were the main caregiver to the family. Women take on the roles of many in raising the family. And often become lost when the last child leaves the nest. You may feel your purpose in life is over. Guess what? IT IS NOT. You need to find your passion.
My passion is travel. I am gathering those who may want to gather to travel also. Maybe just a road trip or maybe an African Safari but you are too afraid to do this alone. Don't be. Let's gather as many women as possible and start a conversation. Start by finding our private page on Facebook called SilverGal Travelers. There is a brief questionnaire to allow you access so we keep it a safe space and I will be offering all sorts of tips for your travel and meeting other ladies of our age. This is all brand new and we need to build an army of like minded ladies to share our experiences in life or maybe you want to learn more about far off places.
If you are feeling lonely there are also many local groups you can join that can help with that. The first step is seeking it out and find your passion. I did by becoming a travel agent at 58 years old. Peace and find your passion. It's never too late.
